Our Story

Woven by Hand, Priced with Heart

Afghan rugs are made one knot at a time. In Afghanistan, women weave about 90% of rugs and kilims, yet men sell almost 100% of them. Too often, the women behind the loom do not get paid fairly.

That is why FAIR LOOM exists. We are woman led, and we price with the maker in mind. We know the hours, the handwork, and the skill behind every knot, and we pay women fairly for what they create.

Every rug in our collection is handcrafted by Afghan artisan families and woven by women using techniques passed down through generations. We work directly with cooperatives in Herat, Mazar-i-Sharif, and Kabul to bring you authentic pieces at fair prices, while supporting the communities that keep this craft alive.
